A mother and daughter are together in the classroom. Eva Jessee and her daughter, Kali Holt, earned bachelor’s degrees in nursing together from ETSU’s College of Nursing and now, they’re both enrolled in ETSU’s family nurse practitioner master’s program. Jessee pointed to ETSU educators who inspired her and her daughter to be the best they could be. She said it’s like every level of education at ETSU builds upon itself and ETSU helped lay a great foundation for them. Jessee also said where she and her daughter ended up is a direct reflection and credit to where they came from.

Chanticleer, the internationally acclaimed “orchestra of voices,” is coming to Johnson City. The Grammy award winners will perform at East Tennessee State University’s Martin Center for the Arts on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m.
